Default Man sucked into aircraft engine

From NZ Herald web site

Quote:
A man has been sucked into a plane engine at Woodbourne Airport near Blenheim.

Airport manager Dean Heiford said the incident happened at an engine testing station run by Air New Zealand maintenance wing Safe Air.

Police southern communications team leader Mike Murphy said emergency services were called to the airport at 8:10am.

Air New Zealand said it would issue a statement on the incident this morning.

TVNZ reports the man is dead.

The airport, 8 kilometres from the town, is used by the airforce for training new pilots and by commercial carriers.
