Due to a fuel shortage @ AKL Air China 789 B-1591 operating CA784 from AKL routed via Sydney on its way to Beijing to pick up fuel last night.

ABC article states it could be 10-14 days to fully restore fuel supply at AKL airport due to damaged infrastructure...

http://www.abc.net.au/news/2017-09-1...ckland/8954788

No doubt SYD will see further diversions from AKL over the coming days.

Afternoon all,

Air China B787-9 B-1431 is due from Auckland at 2015 as 'CA784' for a fuel stop.

Further to the post above, Sydney has only seen the 2 Air China B787's thus far, Melbourne and Brisbane have seen the most fuel stops thus far
