QF87 SYD - HKG 16 February
Hi guys
A question for the scheduling gurus out there. I notice that QF87 SYD-HKG on 16 February is an A380. It departs SYD at 14:00 and arrives in HKG at 20:20. However, I can't find a return flight and was hoping that someone will have the answer. Cheers Bob |

Generally these kinds of things mean either (a) the return is a closed charter (i.e. not available for sale to the general public) or (b) the aircraft is operating a revenue service to HKG and, on arrival, will enter maintenance (either at HKG or, more likely, MNL). The latter scenario at least pays for part of the trip to the hangar.

QF87 is often a revenue flight then the aircraft heads to MNL where they do maintenance in the case of the A380s, or for the 747s stays in HKG. VH-OEE did it back in November.

When the maintenance is completed, the aircraft would often (but not always) return to Sydney as QF88.
