Excuse my ignorance, but is that a possibility? Can a person/persons found guilty of such behaviour be held accountable for costs/fees associated with the forced landing of a commercial aircraft? Just out of curiosity does anyone know what the cost would be? |

If it's not a possibility, it should be.

If it wasn't for his stupid actions, the diversion would not have taken place. That's where the accountability is.

You could start with the landing fee and extra fuel.

What a disgrace. People like this should receive a 10 year ban from flying on any aircraft.

A diversion into SYD isn't cheap, hope Brett sends this twit the bill.
