Default R I P Paul Daw

I arrived home from work this morning to be greeted by the terrible news that Paul Daw, Co-Moderator of Oz-spotters, was one of three men killed yesterday in the crash of Rossair Cessna 441, VH-XMJ, at Renmark S A

I met Paul a few times and we corresponded regularly. He attended a slide night at my house many years ago when he was visiting Perth and the meeting went much longer than usual as Paul recounted many of his aviation exploits over a few red wines to AEGWA members.

Paul was well known and highly regarded in aviation circles both in Australia and overseas. He flew for KLM City Hoppers and when he returned to Australia worked for CASA where one of his tasks was to assist with the introduction of F100s into Australia.

Paul will be sorely missed and aviation has lost a great man.

May Paul rest in peace.

Yes Paul was a good mate of mine and many others.Spent 2-3 hrs at the Loop Rd in BNE only 5-6 weeks ago catching up when he was up for one of the fly ins,and as usual we talked about Aviation.

Everything you have said Bob is spot on.Plenty of good aviation stories from Paul.

Condolences to Nigel his Brother and all the family.

RIP Paul.
