CAP403 is pretty comprehensive already as applied in the UK, the CAA may wish to rewrite their guidance material however referencing the hunter on page 5:

Terrible accident, my thoughts are with all those involved.

Well the CAA has put restrictions on "vintage jets".

Quote:
  • As a precaution, on Saturday 22 August we took steps to ensure no further flights were made by Hawker Hunter aircraft - this temporary restriction remains in place.
  • Flying displays over land by vintage jet aircraft will be significantly restricted until further notice. They will be limited to flypasts, which means ‘high energy’ aerobatics will not be permitted.

Prelim report.

Pilot commenced loop at 200ft rather than 500ft.

He ran out of sky.

Looks like pilot error.

The pilot, Andy Hill, was a former RAF Harrier pilot and British Airways Captain, highly experienced, professional, well known and well loved for his display and aerobatic flying. Amazingly he survived the crash, but was taken to hospital with critical injuries (now in a specialist hospital for treatment).

Such a tragic accident, and my thoughts go out to the families of the pilot and 11 male victims.
