Default Need help for information of flight.

Hi all. something tricky. I was heading home from a Party this morning and i heard a roar above my head, i looked up and i saw an aircraft. I looked at the time and it was 1:48am and i don't know what airline/aircraft it was. Thanks

I assume from your profile location that you were in the Sydney area at the time you saw and heard the aircraft in question . On checking the Web Trak website , there appears to have been no aircraft flying in the Sydney area at that time . Could you be more specific with your location details ?? .

I was working last night, but didn't hear any roar at that time...

However, I'd hazard a guess to say it was the Singapore Airlines B777 from Auckland-Singapore.

Was it heading in a NW direction, or were you too inebriated to be able to tell?

Only aircraft that fits that time would have been SQ282 from Auckland to Singapore. Grahame Hutchinson's 16Right. com shows ACARS from 9V-SVA at 1:20 this morning.

(Either that or the aircraft you saw had a dirty great big spotlight on the front and a red and blue strobe on it!)

It was heading south, though the SQ flight seems the most relevant. I was just curious as it was pretty low and it was past the curfew hours.

It was over the campbelltown area, i don't know whether thats considered low but it was as high as arrivals are over the area

an Auckland to Singapore flight would be at cruising altitude

What was the strobe pattern? Did it have landing lights on?
