Seven people have been injured in a two-vehicle crash at Sydney Airport's Qantas domestic terminal.

A NSW Ambulance spokeswoman said a Qantas bus and a car crashed about 9am on the air side of the airport.

Seven people were injured, although the extent of their injuries are unknown at this stage.

Six ambulance crews with 12 paramedics are on site.

What? A Qantas vehicle speeding? How could you suggest such a thing about the world's safest airline!

This particular board member is on days off.

Said accident happened at the seamless transfer bus lounge at T3 (between H96 and T3). Bus was departing to go over to T1 when someone ran across in front of the bus, the bus driver jammed on the brakes (at the time the bus was only travelling at approx 5 - 10 kph) and some of the standing passengers were flung to the floor.

Emergency vehicles that attended were:
2 x NSWPOL Rescue Trucks
4 x NSWPOL GD vehicles
2 x AFP vehilces
1 x NSWAmb Rapid Response Paramedic Vehicle
5 x NSWAmb Vehicles
Car 4, Car 2, Car 24 and later Car 3.

To be honest I am surprised more accidents don't happen. Pedestrians and cars not looking for buses happens regularly but the biggest culprits of near misses are taxi drivers.

Moral of the story!!!!! Not to have passengers standing up in a bus.

Given the bus isn't fitted with seatbelts, then perhaps some of the injured people were flung forward or sideways and hit the seat in front or the window next to them resulting in injuries?

The Sydney Airport domestic terminal is a s### fight... I hate coming back to Sydney. I say knock the lot down and build a proper airport instead of keep building around it and none of it makes sense.

The worst part is the bus stop for hotel transfers is in the middle of nowhere - halfway between the two domestic terminals.

And all the bus stops don't have clear sign posts so it can be very confusing... imagine how any visitor to Sydney Airport feels.
