Looks like it is Runway 25 ILS calibration time again, with VH-FIZ working to align the smoke and mirrors to 3 Degrees to the horizontal.

TG471 / TG472 was operated by 777-300 HS-TKB last night. TG472 appears to be a 21.30 departure now.

Plenty of holding on all the inbound tracks this morning ...

Probably due weather ? a significant downwind component as the storm cell passed over the airport.

A nice cell directly over the airport.

1041L Cathay 161 was the first aircraft to attempt a landing, and reported 3nm visibility on final. This is the second time I have monitored Cathay being the first to attempt a landing in bad conditions.

1044L There was even holding closer in, on the central coast, the Hawkesbury, over the northwest suburbs, and down Picton way. ATC offered a number of aircraft dogleg diversions to help reduce their altitude.
