Qantas To Increase Adelaide Cityflyer Services
13 March 2008

Qantas said today that it would increase its Adelaide Cityflyer services from April 2008. Twelve new services will be added, taking the airlines total weekly Adelaide Cityflyer services to 229.

Qantas Regional General Manager South Australia, Terry Simpson, said the airline would add five extra services per week from Sydney to Adelaide and seven extra services per week from Adelaide to Melbourne.

"Qantas is expanding its capacity on these routes in response to strong business growth in South Australia, " Mr Simpson said. "We are focused on offering South Australian customers exceptional choice and flexibility on key routes."

Mr Simpson said that with the new services, Qantas would offer:
* a total of 74 Sydney-Adelaide services; and
* a total of 90 services on the Adelaide-Melbourne route.

"Qantas Cityflyer is the most convenient way for business travellers to fly between Australian capital cities on weekdays. Cityflyer offers more flights more often as well as the convenience of online check-in and QuickCheck," Mr Simpson said.

Qantas to Increase Western Australia Services
28 March 2008

Qantas announced today it would increase capacity between Perth and the Western Australian regional destinations of Broome, Kalgoorlie, Karratha, Newman and Port Hedland from June 2008.

Qantas Regional General Manager Western Australia, Mr Ian Gay, said the additional services were a response to increased demand from the state's resource sector and strong domestic tourism growth.

The new return services will be:
* five weekday Perth-Port Hedland services, adding 1,150 seats per week and taking Qantas' weekly services on the route to 30;
* three additional Perth-Broome services, operating on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, adding 690 extra seats per week and taking Qantas' weekly services on the route to 18; and
* two additional Perth-Newman services, operating on Tuesdays and Thursdays, adding 460 seats per week and taking Qantas' weekly services on the route to 18.

Mr Gay said Qantas would also increase capacity by using larger aircraft on some flights to Karratha and Kalgoorlie:
* 10 Perth-Karratha return services will be upgraded from B717 to B737 aircraft, increasing the number of seats on the route each week to 12,248; and
* three Perth-Kalgoorlie return services will be upgraded from B717 to B737 aircraft, increasing the number of seats on the route each week to 5,854.

The third of four daily Perth-Brisbane services will also be upgraded from B737 to B767 aircraft, increasing the number of seats on the route each week to 12,688.

"These new and upgraded services will result in Qantas operating 141 return flights per week from Perth to the regional destinations of Broome, Kalgoorlie, Karratha, Newman, Paraburdoo and Port Hedland," Mr Gay said.
