Default Bathurst 2016 Flyby

VH-YFE did several quick laps of Bathurst.

Nice TV shots with B738 lower than TV chopper.

So it was meant to go to Melbourne but diverted to Sydney?

Anyone know why?

Cheers

MEL was experiencing high winds for most of the day and was closed for about half an hour at one point due to (a) SQ B773 tailstrike and (b) a couple of loose cargo containers blowing across the movement area while the safety team inspected the runway post-tailstrike. Apart from being closed MEL had holding both airborne and on the ground.
