Default The Amazing Race series 18 - teams now in Australia

Okay I've posted about the Amazing Race before and no one seems to be fans here cause I get no response... but if someone is around Sydney airport right now, can you please go to Terminal 1 because the next season of the Amazing Race (US version) is inbound from LA currently flying to Sydney.

Monday 22 Nov 2010:
DL 17 estimated 9:01am
QF108 estimated 9:35am
QF 12 estimated 9:59am

If anyone can take any photos or give any descriptions of the teams etc that would be great! Sorry I'm a bit of an Amazing Race spoiler nerd so please help!!

I watch it. There's nothing funnier than seeing naive Amercians outside their own country dealing with foreign cultures.....

I too am a fan (for similar reasons Stephen listed above). Had no idea they were coming here, so hopefully someone can get some shots?

I'm sure there will be photos. There are lots of twitter tweets about it at the moment.

Looks like its an All Stars season.

They went to Circular Quay, then got a ferry to Manly. They had a clue at Oceanworld and apparently there was a pit stop at Shelly Beach, but Phil wasn't there, so it might have been a double leg.

It is an All Star season - excited by some of the teams already identified

Question Amazing Race series 18 in Sydney

Last time they came to Sydney the Pit Stop was the roof of the Museum of Contemporary Art at West Circular Quay. Since that last visit Bridgeclimb has become popular so I'd be surprised if they didn't get up there at some stage, or else The Edge on top of Centrepoint. I was not in the City today so wasn't able to track what was going on.

Anyone know where the Pit Stop is for tonight?

This episode will probably go to air in the US about the time that Oprah's Sydney show goes to air too, so we will get a bit of publicity that week.

From what I have read, they have moved to the Marriott Hotel/Pitt St and the latest sighting is Pyrmont Bridge.

This thread has live twitter updates and locations of where the teams are. Seems like they went to town hall after Pyrmont bridge. Apparently flying to the outback tonight?

Apparently the teams are at Town Hall to get a departure time for tomorrow. About half leave at 6:30, ther other half at 7:00am. You would think they are staying the night in the CBD somewhere since Town Hall isn't open at night.

If the rumours of a flight to the 'outback' are right, they will have good timing for the flights tomorrow. Assuming they are going to the Rock, there is a QF flight to Ayers Rock at 9:55am, followed by one to Alice 10 minutes later. DJ has a flight to the rock at 10:15am. Could be interesting if anyone is at the domestic terminals tomorrow, unless they have a charter flight.
