Default A380 Flight duration

Does anyone have any data on expected A380 flying times for SYD - LAX? How about other routes? How does it compare with a 747?

Default A380-841 v 861

I hadn't realised that SQ and QF had 841s and EK had 861s - what are the key differences between models?

Also, SQ and EK are both due to get another delivery before QF gets its first two. My impression is that SQ, and EK to some extent being first in USA, have enjoyed significant first mover advantage.

And here's me thinking it was something more subtle!
