A343 B-HXL is not even 9 years old. Surely an airline could expect more from a frame than a mere nine years!

The same with B744 9V-SPN

http://www.airfleets.net/ficheapp/plane-b747-28031.htm

United have utilised this craft a little better (B744 N187UA) and stretched it out to 17 years

... but nothing like VH-OJA still going strong with it's original operator after 20 years

Mike unfortunately its all about fuel burn these days and the B77W and B77LR just kill the likes of the A343 and B744 in this area, SPN well my guess as a freighter and the CX A343 would surely be leased to another operator.

Yeah, I know Marty but it still seems such a waste. I'm sure the SQ 744 will be picked up as a Freighter once the World economy recovers to some extent but the 343? I don't don't know. The potential operator's Dad will have to own a servo

Maybe Air Asia X may look at the A343 or perhaps we will start seeing the beginning of the A343 F
