Post Additional ADL-MEL too!

From December, JQ operate an additional 4 per week MEL-ADL. Funny thing is, the MEL-ADL goes last thing at night, then the ADL-MEL comes back first thing the next morning! How will the crewing work for this as JQ don't do overnights, and it will be too late to position!

The annyoing thing is that because of these flights, HBA-MEL loses 4 services per week, only a month or so after Joyce said that HBA-MEL was ahead of schedule and there were prospects for further increases on this route!

JQ do a couple of overnights, so I think what will happen is the crew that operate the late MEL-ADL service might fly ADL-OOL or something along those lines. I guess we will have to wait until the schedules are released to see what is really happening

The Adelaide-Darwin flight leaves 30mins after that late night MEL-ADL arrives. All on the same days as the MEL-ADL flies, so is it this the continuation flight?

Evening all,

JQ just closed down their Adelaide at the end of August. Prior to that we had two overnighting. 4 days a week one of those aircraft would operate an overnight service to DRW and arrive in ADL 6am then depart to either CNS or OOL. the other would go to Sydney at 6am.

Aparantly the DRW is going back to this 2200 departure out of Adelaide and arrivng back in ADL at 0600. One would presume that this either the new TULLA flights will go onto Perth at 0805.

Great to see Jetstar really kicking it out of Perth now.

For what its worth, yesterday was the inaugral PER-DPS (-VQD) and today PER-CGK (-VQD). The next first is on Dec 1 PER-SIN.

...and AVV was replaced with a MEL service on Sunday also (so now double daily MEL)
