Default QF 744 maintenance

Just curious as to whether Qantas has any 747's offshore for heavy maintenance at the moment?

I asked because I noticed VH-OJA hasn't been on 16right ACARS since last year, assume it's overseas in a hangar?

Apologies guys, missed my reminder, just updated the history.

But it does look like OJA may have been down in Avalon during January.

Grahame,

I previously queried the ID of a B747-400 seen by me outside the Avalon hangar at 1100 hrs on Dec 28th.

It looks like it was VH-OJA and it arrived an hour or so before me.

( I forgot my binoculars )

I am pretty sure I saw OJA in Sydney during the spotting weekend.
