Flew up to cooly on sat morning.got off at the rear exit and when i walked past the left hand engine there was smoke coming out of that thin nozzle that comes out of the back of the engine. Is this normal. and what does that little nozzle do.
I flew back this morning to syd from cooly on a pacific blue.I thought they only flew international.I asked the crew and they said they where going to nz next.

I assume your talking about the 737NG. Its the rear of the bearing's there and oil seeps out there and burns away. Normal for all engines to do that.
