from avherald

A Tigerair Australia Airbus A320-200, registration VH-VNO performing flight TT-511 from Brisbane,QL to Melbourne,VI (Australia) with 60 people on board, was descending towards Melbourne when an unusual odour was detected in the cabin prompting the crew to request priority reporting smell of smoke in the cabin with a number of passengers and crew feeling unwell and throwing up, and accelerate the descent and approach. During the descent the crew advised that the smell had dissipated. The aircraft landed safely on Melbourne's runway 27. 4 people were assessed by medical staff on arrival but did not need treatment.
