Default Qantas Checkin Baggage Drama - 30Mar16 YSSY

Took my partner to the airport this morning to board QF127 to HK.

Seems that the QF checkin system is at odds with their Reservations system as the e-ticket clearly states 30Kilos checked in baggage allowance, but as the lady frowned and typed away she explained that the checkin system was saying that the excess over 23kg (weight was 29kg) had to be paid for before it would issue a Boarding pass.

After 15 mins it was sorted out with a Supervisor overriding the Excess demand.

Seems that something didn't get changed in the checkin system when the Baggage allowances were raised to 30kg.

The flight seems to have got away on-time, surprising given that the queue for Immigration stretched outside the passenger only area too.
