Default Pavement failure

Why is 34L closed?

Anyone know?

Could be interesting for the QF64.

Thanks Todd.

Pavement Failure Todd. ATIS reports 34L expected to be back in use by 2:30pm.
UA840 landed 34R & both Korean Air Cargo & an Atlas Air Freighter both departed off 34R!

last Monday was at SYD & saw FJ 744 heavy land on cross runway. Is that normal ?

Apparently over 450 of the 458 seats on board taken.

Andrew - when it's operating we get plenty of 747, MD11 and very occasional A380 action on 07 and 25.

No problem using it.

Just a point of interest - the 744 at the top of the a.net page is a QF departure from runway 25. Lots of heavy action during SW winds.

This would explain why I saw a Korean 744 takeoff from 34R the other day. From my office window in Botany I have a perfect view of all 34R departures so when I saw it i couldnt believe my eyes....
