Plan is to start Sydney on 31 May with the 332 and MEL on 2 August.

737's will go to Haeco in HKG from June to October to be painted. One 747 will be kept till aircraft 3 arrives in November.

Between April and end of May both 332's(2nd one due MAY) will operate short haul routes from NAN for pilot training so SYD and MEL may see them earlier than these start dates and possibly BNE.

Fiji Airways, currently known as Air Pacific, has officially opened reservation for flights operated by its new Airbus A330-200 aircraft, with configuration of C24Y249. Planned A330-200 operation as follow.

Nadi – Sydney eff 08JUN13 Up to 6 weekly

A330-200 operation on Sydney service reduces to 3-4 weekly from 01JUL13. Previously these flights has been displaying as “74E” for operational aircraft.

Since December 2012/January 2013, Fiji Airways has loaded flights operated by aircraft code 74E (747-400COMBI), with configuration of C24Y249 that is identical to A330-200. Following flights are currently displaying “74E”, which is believed to change to “332″ at a later date, although further revision on operational days and dates remain likely.

Nadi – Auckland 21APR13 – 31AUG13 FJ411/410 Daily (Gradual reduction to 4-5 weekly from 05JUL13. “74E” coded flights reappears from 19JAN14, replacing 744)

Looks like Auckland and Brisbane will be first to get the new A332. Unfortunately for us in Brisbane, they will be operating FJ923/922 which arrives and departs in darkness.

The two 747-400 air pacific have should be taken out of service straight away. I flew on them both in January from Mel - Nan and back. DQ-FJK is the worst one with foil covering the exit sign on the right hand side just before busines class. FJL had a massive shake when it lifted off the ground for a few seconds.

The Video screens do not work properly. The interior looks crap and you can see that it must of been 10 years since they were updated. They are around 24 years old each. I wonder if the Qantas aircraft are in the same condition for the same age.

People call the new Fiji Airways and American Airlines liveries bland?

Why?

They look great.

What I call bland and perhaps the worst, is VA.
