Source 9 News

Quote:
Brisbane International Airport remains in lockdown after a man was taken into custody following an "emergency situation".

The airport has been evacuated and trains have been stopped, with Queensland Police advising people to avoid the area as specialist officers are on the scene.

"Specialist police have taken a man into custody," Queensland Police announced on Saturday night, less than an hour after the emergency declaration was announced.

"Police are currently conducting clearance searches of the International Terminal. No reported injuries to any members of the public or police.

The Public Safety and Preservation Act emergency declaration remains in place.
