Default Boeing 717 NXB becomes N489HA

Boeing 717 NXB becomes N489HA with Hawaiian.

Does anyone know the schedule for the next two to go.

Also any names of the repainted a/c.

TIA,

Greg

The first one to go into service recently (as N483HA) was named 'Anianiau which is a small endangered Hawaiian bird. Don't know yet what the others will be called.
All the HA 717's are named after local birds while the 767's are named after migratory birds that are either from or regularly visit the islands.

Okay - N489HA today was blessed (and named) "Po'ouli". That's one of the most rare of all Hawaiian native fauna.

Default thanks

thanks roberts.

It seems that there are two more ex-Ozzie 717's to be delivered by the end of the year.
