Thanks for your answer Greg, but it is now 2 months 17 days since OQB arrived in AUH. That seems to be an awfully long time for "maintenance". ???

Not if they are fixing the wing issues.

This check is a large one. It is planned take around 100 days. This is just the planned time. If they find anything from the inspections it may well take longer. QF are the first to undertake this scheduled check. Singapore airlines chose to park theirs instead of completing the check.

100 days would take the scheduled check up to 22 August, 2019 to fly home the next day.

I see more LAX trouble for OQA. This time stuck there with nosewheel issues.

Flightaware is showing OQB as having a nine minute flight out of Abu Dhabi yesterday but there was no movement of the aircraft recorded on the map so I presume that they just powered up the transponder for a few minutes from the hanger.

It looks as though her return to service would be welcome though with OQA out of service again.

Qantas Source is saying OQD is also stuck at LAX with nose wheel issues! So two A380's with nose wheel issues at the same time. What is going on over there? Also reported on the news that there are 400 people that have been stranded at LAX for several days.

Air France will be "retiring" all A380's from their fleet by 2022.

OQA has just departed LAX as QF94 for MEL.

OQD operated Sunday's QF11 from SYD to LAX and would have been due back this morning, if the flight had not been cancelled. OQJ is operating QF12 due in tomorrow morning which is on time.

QF8 has also had some delays with tomorrow's arrival in SYD on time (OQI) with yesterday's flight operating as QF8D (OQG) about an hour behind.
