Default Virgin Lounge for Sydney International travel?

Sorry if someone has posted this before, but I was wondering if there is any news of a lounge for "Virgin" type airlines in Sydney international terminal (V Australia/Poly/Pacific Blue/Atlantic)?

Can these passengers get into any other lounge currently in T1?

Currently there is no lounge.

I owuld expect news of a lounge in SYD/BNE international soon given the increase in Pacific Blue flights and launch of V Australia from those ports.

the domestic lounges are quite good, so would be nice to see what they do for international

Air NZ lounge is used for VS flights in SYD - this will also be used by VA. Once the expansion of pier C is completed VS/VA may look into setting up a "Club House" style lounge...

Really? VS and NZ are partners so I can understand the reciprocal lounge access.... but DJ and NZ are not partners.

I would be very surprised if NZ let them use their lounge. I would have thought even Emirates would have been more likely.
What is happening to tthe space where the old Jal lounge is?

No news about JAL's Sakura lounge - I think it will be part of the redevelopment of that pier - apparently carriers like EY and VS want to have dedicated lounges so maybe it's for them?

Yep I would say that this is correct, I do see a VS/VA club house lounge at some stage in the future depending how VA flights progress

that used to be on the arrivals level near gate 57. You can see it through the glass window panel as you walk off the aerobridge ramp area. I believe it is getting turned into a Menzies Lounge?[/
