there were the 4 and it looked like one was hovering off the other 3 as driving down pennant hills rd..

Just seen on 7 news that the 3 blackhawks are training flying close to buildings..Even landing in and taking off from ANZ stadium. THey will keep going till late tonight, and will be training in the city tomorrow.

Default 4 Black Hawks

Been watching them all afternoon from work, and then at 6pm just as i was leaving they were flying overhead the gaol before holding over the ANZ stadium. Wish i had my camera with me! They then headed back towards the northwest.

Last Thursday night four of them were flying sorties all afternoon and until 12.30am around Penrith, Emu Plains and Lapstone. All night I could have counted no less than a dozen passes directly abeam the family home and no more than 100-200ft AGL in complete blackout conditions.

Next day found out issue was contentious with most neighbours reporting that they had called RAAF Richmond the same night to complain about the noise. I must have slept right through it.

HAHA...Was saying to a friend that I thought it would stir up the local whingers. I wonder if they'd rather these guys got NO low level night training in built up areas then couldn't respond properly if they were needed due to lack of experience.
My house is directly under the path they were useing and I thought it was quite spectacular.

I don't think the RAAF would care about complaints. It's not like they are about customer service.

I doubt the RAAF would care, especially since they're Army helicopters.
