The CQ Plane Spotting group on FB is also reporting QLink DH8D VH-QOB was grounded but it wasnt clear if QOB was thought to be damaged or was stuck at MOV because of the damage to the airport (which was closed last night).

A Virgin spokesman said the ATR 72 aircraft became destabilised while stationary and corrected itself, adding nobody was injured during the incident.

Engineers would inspect the aircraft before it resumed operations, he said.

A Qantas spokesman said the empty Q400 had likely sustained minor damage and engineers would inspect the aircraft on Tuesday.
