Default Likely future of VH-VBY's scheme

What do you think will come of VBY once the Virgin Australia livery is rolled out?

Do you think it will have the standard livery, or have its current 50th aircraft scheme retained for ol' times sake?

I agree 100% with Brock.

I remember getting soo excited flying on that back in 2007.

I love the 700 series and the paint on that will both show how far the airline has come, and how the good ol' Virgin used to look.

I really do hope they decide to keep it.

If you get up close to VBY she is starting to look like the rest and needing new paintwork, paint is slowly starting to flake off. If you look at some of the older aircraft in the fleet they have faded badly and also have rivet rash where the paint is coming off. New paint technology now means that a paint job will last longer if applied properly. Hence the timing of the rebranding couldn't come at a better time.

Cheers

Michael

Yes I have also noticed this, but it is not as bad as Qantas's VH-VXB.

After many years of service they all look like they have rivet rash. Some aircraft types are worse than others.

It doesn't help that the colour 'Red' is the worst for fading due to sun, weather, whatever. This of course, affects both DJ (especially) and QF
