Default NTL currently closed?

I notice a QF BNE-NTL 717 has diverted to Sydney, a Q400 on the same route has now done multiple circuits and an Alliance F100 operating BNE-NTL operating for VA looks as though its a bout to divert.

I can't quite interpret the METAR YWLM 040000Z 28009KT 9999 BKN006 SCT033 14/14 Q1013

Is the issue wind or flooding?

I don't think it would be weather, probably flooding.

Looks like the F100 has landed, Q400 still doing circuits north of the airfield.

My Guess flooding based on the amount of rain that NTL/Hunter Valley has had over the last couple of days

You will find this handy http://www.bom.gov.au/aviation/data/...etar-speci.pdf

That METAR is quite benign, wind 9kts, bkn cloud at 600ft would be the concern with aircraft struggling to get visual at the minima, flooding would not appear on a metar other than with a remark.

There is runway works in progress with displace thresholds reducing available IFR approaches.

Notams indicate taxiway flooding only on the northwest side.

Thanks Mark. The wind was howling in Sydney at the time, and the 717 diversion suggested a larger issue.
