So reduced capacity to MEL then, seems strange.

Shame they are not gettting their 787's!

Fiji is a very underrated destination. So much nicer than Bali, it just lacks shopping for the Bali singlets and associated Bali rubbish.

Default FJ-reduced capacity into OZ

737 replacing some 747 services into SYD. As there 744 carry 458 pax, would need ~3 x 737 to = current capacity.

It's spin.

Instead of up to 4 x 763,MEL goes to 2 x 737 + 1 x 744.

BNE goes from 6 x 737 + 1 x 767 to 8 x 737.

But it will give them more frequency, but they need more capacity from Xmas to New Year. Wonder why they don't bring the "new" 737 online earlier.

I think Brad their only B767 goes to Sydney if the a B744 breaks down. Sydney to my knowledge only gets 1x B744 a day plus I think a B737 or B738 on Saturday or Sunday. I stand corrected on that.

Their B767 goes to BNE and MEL. It also goes to a couple of other places.

from mid-JAN BNE becomes a narrow body only port for FJ (daily). MEL gets 744 once a week & 2 x 737's only. Sign of the times (cutbacks)
