I wonder if the 717's will turn up on the odd BNE-CNS or BNE-ASP to rotate with the rest of the network.

Slightly off topic, but it would be great to see the 717's return to LST-MEL.

I thought 2 were to be in the new Perth base. Up here in Cairns we sometimes have 7 QF Dash 8s on the ground at once always seem to have a spare or 2 maybe good if one breaks down. I don't see the point in having another one based in CNS can they justify it?

Thanks for the update Anthony. Who would of thought that Qf would start a TSV-Moranbah service that came out of the blue.

It's not that unexpected TSV-MOV was an old Macair route. With the increase of mining in the Bowen basin it was only a matter of time before Qantaslink or Rex restarted the route.

Hi All

Any ideas when the 'new' QantasLink services announced this week will go live in QF inventory?

Cheers
Rowan

Some of the flights are already there.

Have a look at the QF schedules for BNE-RMA, BNE-MOV before and after 17 Oct.

I'd imagine the 717 flights will go in later in the year.

I guess they wouldn't want to commit too much until the aircraft were definitely going to be service ready?

Is it ridiculous to think they might use the 717s for some GLT with DJ starting up there?

In Today's Cairns Post there is a story that Qantas will base a new Q400 here in Cairns on the 17th October and will start flying twice a week to Weipa.
