New air service set for Kalgoorlie-Geraldton
Posted October 26, 2011 14:33:14

Regional airline Skywest has announced plans to open a new direct service between Kalgoorlie and Geraldton.

The route, linking the Goldfields and the mid-west's mining provinces, is scheduled to have its first flight departing from Geraldton in early December.

Skywest says the service will increase tourism and business opportunities, providing a boost to the Geraldton economy.

Something similar is being mooted for Renmark in the South Australian Riverland.
Get mine workers to locate to Renmark, then fly them to the evolving Olympic Dam mines.
