Default Malaysia Airlines temporary bans checked luggage

Malaysia temporary bans checked luggage on some flights from Kuala Lumpur to Europe.

According to another site, it is flights using 772 aircraft.

I have never heard of this before. Has this occurred with other airlines?

As an aside, it seems MAS is struggling for positivity on any front in recent times.

Qantas has on occasions chosen not to load bags ex DFW for similar reasons, which is a little different to what MH has done. Other airlines prefer to just divert when carrying heavy loads, around this time of the year that's often the case with trains Atlantic flights in marginal equipment such as 757s.
