Yesterday's (10/4/17) American flight AAL72 777W returned to Sydney for medical reasons. It turned back about halfway between Lord Howe and Norfolk Islands. It has just departed Sydney this morning (11/4/17) as AAL72P to LAX.

I'm pretty sure the A380 is a regular fixture on QF127/128 for this scheduling season - I don't think it's necessarily every day, but several days a week. I believe they've been able to do this because there's not an A380 in heavy mx in MNL at the moment.

Checking the QANTAS schedules QF127 will be operated by a A380 from 11/4/17 - 27/4/17 with QF128 arriving the next day.
