Hi folks

I thought this may be related to last night's shenanigans.

VH-OJD (747-438) just took off from Adelaide 2 minutes ago. Flight number QF1352, heading East. Any ideas what the story with this one is? Thanks!

The ultimate decision is up to the pilot in command. The airport doesn't actually shut up shop.

I heard an interview on the ABC this morning with someone from Westpac Rescue Chopper. They were unable to respond to a couple of incidents because the chopper is unable to start in winds over 100kmh, (which they were experiencing). Apparently they can operate in those conditions but not start up - something to do with the flex of the rotor in the high wind.

It's an ADF charter to support a big exercise up there which starts next week.

Oh, and the office needs a new double glazed front door. Apparently slamming shut in 60kt gusts is a bit beyond design specs.....

So, now you have a new Air Conditioning Unit Nigel - all Free.

Maikha,
A 737 followed the 747 to Rocky later on. We were wondering what they were up to!
