Default foreign crews flying JQ domestic sectors

this in the australian yesterday

http://www.theaustralian.com.au/busi...-1226262559360

Didn't realise they could do it.

With Thai flight attendants working for around 1/10 of QF flight attendants, why don't more airlines do it ?

With shortage of pilots, couldn't more come in on 457 visas ?

when JQ Thai flight attendants sacked at SYD for saying too tired, it was reported that they were on equivalent of ADU$7/hour & AUD$258 retainer per month, which although not much by Australian standards, you could live quite well in Thailand on that.
