Default Virgin America

I am not sure that there is a rumour news about Virgin America would be take over by Alaskan Airlines? Any ideas? It would be much appreciated. Thank you.

Regards,

Cliff Cook.

VX merged into AS last year. I can't remember any of the dates, etc., but as far as I can recall VX no longer has its own AOC and operates as "Alaska in Virgin America colours".

VX website points to the merger: https://www.virginamerica.com/

Worth looking into things ahead of asking - it took me a few seconds to trawl and find this:-

Disappointing outcome if VA disappears - we flew them in 2015 from Las Vegas to NY and were quite impressed. Streets ahead of our own VA ! ! ! ! !

The brand will eventually disappear (new build A321 aircraft are already being painted in AS livery, existing aircraft will either exit the fleet or be repainted). Hopefully some of VX’s product and service will find its way into AS - VX definitely seems to be quite innovative (at least compared to its peers) and has a great reputation.
