I reckon the remaining four A380's will be done in 2019 as their scheduled re-paints are due

Funny thing is the shabby old VYF (last 738 in the old 80's livery) has avoided a repaint again...

The newer VZF went to Townsville last night instead.

I can't believe that this has happened as Zac indicated above that VYF was next.

Surely the priority has to be VYF given its the last remaining 738 in the old 80's livery as is looking very tired!

Maybe another retro scheme?.

Or it's an aircraft that just seems to keep going without any annoying little maintenance issues, so they don't want to jinx it by taking it out of service and repainting it?

All wild theories, but putting them out there...

Thanks for clarifying Zac. Good news looks like VYF is going in for a repaint as planned.

I'm currently sitting in a plane next to VYF at Townsville and our pilot has announced the aircraft next to us has arrived for repainting and we are awaiting its catering to be transferred to our jet.....

A380, OQD will ferry to DXB today for maintenance.

Maybe the first repaint?

EDIT: It’s probably the one getting its landing gear replaced as per the article above.
