Fatal accident at Parafield Airport
At 4 p.m. today, at Parafield, South Australia.
The 62 y.o. pilot of the Cessna Cutlass VH-MKG has been run over and killed by his own aircraft on the main tarmac. The aircraft has then continued for a short distance and collided virtually head on with the Piper Saratoga VH-HYM, causing significant damage to both aircraft. It appears to be a hand-start gone horribly wrong. Several hours later a small dog was found in the cabin of the Cutlass.
