Default MacAir purchased by "Mr Ansett"

THE man dubbed `Mr Ansett' has been revealed as the new owner of MacAir, Queensland's largest privately owned airline.

Terry Byrt, a prospector and former fisherman, said it was a dream come true after buying a 100 per cent share in the company on Friday.

Good luck to him, I wonder why he didn't go buy O'Connor Airlines as well.

Why would he, they were losing money.... Where as, far as we know Macair is making money.

Most of his mines are in Queensland / Macair = Queensland carrier!

Well if he wants to become Ansett, he better start buying up other business. When you think about it O' Conner's can be made profitable, its just a matter of how.
