Default 'Boom Supersonic' and JAL - Paris to New York in 3 hours

I don't know if this has been discussed here before, but a new aircraft manufacturer by the name of 'Boom Supersonic' has contracted with Japan's JAL airline to supply JAL with 20 new 'Overture' jets was greatly reduced flight times.

From Tokyo to San Francisco in less than six hours.
From Paris to New York in little more than three hours.
From Sydney to Los Angeles in little more than 8 hours.

Flight speeds upwards of 2100 kilometres an hour.

This video was released onto Youtube in just the last few hours...

It sounds promising, but passenger numbers are limited to 80 seats per aircraft, so it won't be a budget traveller's first choice.

Nice looking jet... it reminds me of the Concorde, not that I ever flew on one.

United have also put their hands up, problem is Boom dont have an engine supplier and Rolls pulled out last month, so its going to be hard to see this getting of the ground.

Yes, it seemed somewhat ambition... too good to be true?
