I have just seen on Instagram that parting out of OQF has started, being a bit sceptical of anything I see on socials I wonder if anyone here can officially confirm this or if they are just doing rts maintenance?

OQF is the 1st A380 to be parted out, OQE is the next one which starts next month. The aircraft in Korea is being repainted. Another one to follow suit |

One of the comments on that post provides reasoning behind the choice of OQF and OQE
OQE and OQF were the only two that didn’t have their 12-year mx check, and need new landing gear. The costs of returning OQE to service would outweigh the costs of OQA burning more fuel. |

Unusual return for Qantas 789 VH-ZNF, having operated QF1 DRW - LHR yesterday, and due to have operated the return QF2 LHR - DRW overnight.
Left LHR early at 18:06 BST as QF6002 for Barcelona [BCN] - a first visit of a Qantas 789. Now operating QF302 BCN - DRW, due Darwin in early hours of Tuesday 23rd. |

I think VH ZND went to Johannesburg as QF 63 on the 23rd of May and the return flight was cancelled I think. Does anyone know what happen?
