Frequency over capacity is the name of the game. All is well to send the A380 in but it would sit idle for potentially 7 hours doing nothing in Sydney as the flight back to kl would need to be timed for onward connections.

That and with air Asia up to 2 daily, they can't afford to lose any share on a key route, so... Frequency over capacity. Just like what Cathay and Singapore are doing to keep their share of the market.
