Interesting Alex as SQ8896 has flown from SIN to ASP arriving this morning and operated by A380 9V-SKL. SQ8896, but operated now by 9V-SKQ, has 2 hour 20 minute later departed ASP to SYD but is cruising at 22,000 feet with a speed of 330 to 350 knots. I presume that the same crew have flown both flights.

So, that adds to the mystery. Possibly Singapore Airlines have swapped over a stored A380 and have moved SKQ to SYD as the closest port to enable maintenance to be undertaken before it is flown to SIN. It is possibly a pressurisation issue or could be flying on three engines, amongst other things.
