APCH: EXP INDEPENDENT VISUAL APCH RWY: 34L AND R FOR ARRS AND DEPS OPR INFO: PARL RWY OPS IN PROG. INDEPENDENT DEPARTURES IN PROG. RWY 34R GP AND DME NOT AVBL. UNAUTHORISED LASER ILLUMINATION EVENTS REPORTED 6NM FINAL RWY 34L + WIND: 020/12 XW 9 KTS WX: CAVOK TMP: 24 + QNH: 1013 Would this be someone firing a laser , or some kind of unauthorised "display " ???? Unfortunately Dave, this isn't such an unusual ATIS. Laser illumination events occur quite often. I don't know how people find that fun...

There was an Air Ambo who reported "a face full of green laser from the Cronulla area" last week during curfew, so it appears the same clowns think it's funny to have a repeat performance.
I hope they catch them and string them up by the gonads.

Happened a couple of times here at NZAA last week.
One of the crews knew the area and pretty much pinpointed the house it came from. Bloody idiots.
