Earning Malaysia Airlines points with Velocity

Hi all

Hope someone can help me out

Recently flew MH from KUL-LGK in C class, and have lodged a velocity claim, because you can earn velocity points for flying with MH.

I just got an e-mail back from velocity

For the flight detailed below, I'm sorry to say that we're unable to credit your Account, as the fare class doesn't qualify you for Points
flight details

Departure Date : 17 October 2009
Flight number : MH1438
Origin : KUALA LUMPUR
Destination : LANGKAWI
Fare class : C

I'd call them and explain the situation as C Class does earn points in their program.

you may have missed the fine print there, perhaps,

"Number of Points^"

"^ These rates are correct as at 31 May 2008 and are subject to change. Fares are subject to availability."

would still suggest calling them though,

Good luck. Velocity are the worst. Wife and I flew MH to K.L. return.

Wife got points for both sectors. I received points to K.L.

Claimed for return and told take up to 12 weeks. After time expired made contact .Stated wanted boarding pass, original ticket. Reply was will investigate up to (another) 12 weeks.

I told them to put it in shredder, ridiculous when they new we both flew together.
