Two services each direction on MEL-HBA and one service each direction on MEL-LST on 25/1 will be operated by 321 equipment. I believe that it will be the first occasion that the type has landed at either of those airports.

I read on another forum that JQ flew a A321 between SYD-LST-SYD and OOL-HBA-OOL earlier this week so as to get the airport staff familiar with the aircraft.
Also, QF have sent a couple of 763's to HBA this week. The cricket day/nighter at Bellerive probably had something to do with this. |

Dont you reckon this displays how far the AFL is on the back foot for the 2011 season? DJ havent these resources.
Rest assured I believe they will be giving it their best effort. I know there is another thread relating to this. I dont plan on keeping posting AFL thoughts here. Kind regards, Geoff Last edited by Geoff W; 22nd January 2011 at 07:59 PM. Reason: To clarify |

Well spotted. It will be very interesting to see when and on what routes the 321 appears on a scheduled basis to HBA/LST. Are JQ getting more 321s or will these services have to come from existing metal? NS11 would seem an odd time given it will be low season and JQ has recently increased seats over 60% to Tasmania.

The A321 never came on the 18th into either ADL, HBA or LST, so i had to fly on an A320 to SYD...
![]() Has been re-scheduled to operate into HBA twice and LST once this Tuesday 25th Jan. No date for ADL yet. |

but I think AFL clubs don't have issues that cricketers have e.g. cricket coffin bags (correct me if I am wrong)... all they have are players with long legs

The AFL will learn the hard way.Should have stuck with Qantas which can supply the aircraft if something does go wrong.
