DC-10 Air Tanker Back at Richmond
The Very Large Air Tanker (DC-10) was christened "Nancy Bird" after Nancy Bird Walton at a ceremony at RAAF Richmond this morning.

The VLAT has had a full day operating on the Orange fire, with numerous sorties ex Richmond.
The coordinating Aero Commander has been staging out of Dubbo while there is also a scanning King Air operating high (VH-LAB), a practice first put in place by the NSCA in the 80's, also with King Airs. |
