But NewsCorp called it a wing propeller. Who are the WSOs hired by? Sydney Airport or contractors?

Actually, it looks like they collided with some force - so a medical episode does seem plausible. If the tow was underway before the crash it does seem puzzling absent a medical episode - most likely a hypoglycaemic reaction? Hope the driver is OK.
