Default The New Plane Plotter OSM View

Here is a screen shot of how great the new Plane Plotter OSM function is.

Click of a button and you get a fairly details map of anywhere in the world.

I setup the OSM view in PlanePlotter on Thursday, and combined with the PP Range circles it is a really useful display, particularly as you can refresh the map immediately after zooming. I have used it for areally tight approach maps of Heathrow and Australian capital cities.

Allan,

you can download Plane plotter from the following link:
http://www.coaa.co.uk/planeplotter.htm

Go to the PP user group (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/planeplotter/) and download the files for Australia so you have proper Australian Maps. I normally use the VATPAC ones because i'm used to seeing a radar screen like that.

Have a look around the program and make sure it works, then purchase the software via their website.

Once you get the code, you'll be able to start "sharing" so you can see other aircraft.

You should now be able to see all aircraft within Coverage and have ADS-B

The number of PlanePlotter feeders in Australia has been growing now for a number of years and the coverage is very good. Darwin has now been added but unfortunately we have lost our Port Hedland feeder. The south east from Brisbane down to Tasmania and around to Adelaide is great. Looking for a volunteer in the Alice to fill in a big hole.
